Tree Options

There are family tree options to suit everyone.

Our family history packages can make wonderful presents for birthdays, wedding anniversaries, Christmas, or any other special occasion.

They are something that will be kept forever and passed down through the generations.

Whatever you choose, we can bring your ancestors and their stories to life.

You can customise your family tree to suit your needs, and trace anyone you choose, you don't need to trace every line, email for more information.

What exactly is a One, Two or Four surname tree?

One Surname

  • This means exactly that one surname, it traces one surname, if you choose a couple say your parents, then just one of them is included. We do include the wife or husbands but just trace either one of their families back through their generation and so on.

Two Surname

  • This is as the above but does include two names of anyone in your family, these can be couples, say your parents, or it could be your father and your spouse’s father or two different people altogether.

Four Surname

  • This is by far the best package as it traces all of your ancestors starting from your parents and tracing back as far as the information will allow.

How many grandparents!!!!

A good way to think about it is this, imagine all your ancestors lined up waiting for a bus. You have to get them lined up in the correct order they were born, the youngest being at the front of the queue, the eldest at the back. Say you trace your ancestors back six generations, that is a queue of 256 people. You have to be sure you have the correct person, in that the child is the one at the front then his father and his father and so on. It is a daunting task that can be done, but to be 100% correct takes dedication and time.

Our grandparents double each time there is a new generation, so the farther we go back we end up having trillions of them.

Why is tracing your family tree so expensive?

As with all professions, individuals, and companies, they all have extensive varying costs, and genealogy is no different.

Anyone can subscribe to a research site and start to build a family tree, however, there are so many people who just simply copy each other’s information, I have looked at other trees and the information is wrong. You only need to get one person wrong and the rest is wrong too.

People just expect the information to be correct, the information has to be proved beyond doubt and you can’t just have ‘here say’, otherwise you are wasting your time, money and worst of all the family tree you think is yours isn’t, so what is the point?

Professional genealogists may simply be very expensive, as this is their business and work. Unlike the person who does it as a hobby, we have business costs to pay before, we must pay for access to many databases of documentation. We spend hours and hours researching and hours writing up what we have found into a family history book for you to enjoy and pass down to your children.
